The Mountain calls

It's hard to stop sketching when the mountains have so much to capture; the lines in the rock face show its history, and the snow flows around the defiant gathering of trees on Mount Lawrence Grassi.

Inspiration taken from the sheer-sided canyon walls framing the precarious trees clinging to the rock edges.

Drawing inspiration from the curve of the rocks, the determined reach of the silhouetted trees and the lure of the next bend in the creek's path.

Just loved the natural V-shape of the landscape; rocks tumbling down to meet a wall of trees which stretch up to the horizon.
